Just Like A Native App
With the help of HTML5, Penzu Mobile works just like an app from the Android Marketplace.
All you have to do is login to Penzu Mobile, and then follow these instructions:
1. Press the bookmark symbol on the browser to get to the bookmarks screen.
2. Press the "Add" button to create a bookmark. Then press and hold on the new Penzu bookmark and select "Add shortcut to Home".
3. A Penzu icon is added to your home screen.
Compose, Edit, View
Compose
With Penzu Mobile, easily compose new entries. Click the "plus" button on the pad toolbar and a new entry will appear instantly.
Edit
Edit unfinished or old entries right on your phone. They will be automatically synced with your Penzu Pro account.
View
Retain rich-text formatting with our unique View Mode. Append text to the end without losing your work.
Entries
Manage your entries on the go. A quick tap on the title will open the entry. Or use the checkbox to select entries for deletion.
Search
Easily find what you want by searching your entire Penzu account. All of your entries are at your fingertips from any where at any time.
Delete
Send unwanted entries to the trash by deleting. Login to your account form your computer to further manage your entries and restore deleted ones if need be.
Works Offline
Once you login and access Penzu Mobile, it will also be available offline either from the browser—by visiting http://penzu.com/m—or from your home screen if you've added the icon (as shown above).
All entries created and edited while offline will sync instantly once you go back online again.
Tag
Penzu Mobile offers a great way to group and organize your entries: Tagging. You can effortlessly keep track of multiple entries by assigning a common tag.
For example, if you were on a trip around the world, and wanted to group your entries from each country, you could tag each entry from Thailand with the tag "Thailand", each entry from Japan with the tag "Japan" and so on.
You can then easily view all of the tagged entries on your Entries page by clicking the Tags button on the toolbar. Clicking a specific tag will display a results page containing entries with that tag.
Search
Quickly and easily find old entries with our server-side search. When online, your entire account is searchable so you can edit, modify, or delete past entries.
Recent searches are also just a click away. We store your latest searches so you can save time!
Lock And Roll
Protect your most secret journal entries by locking them. Just like on the web app, choose from Basic or Encryption lock. Encrypted entries are securely locked and stored on our servers. The one-way encryption of your password works exactly the same from your mobile device, transferred via SSL.
When offline, locking is disabled and locked entries aren't accessible for your safety. We currently don't store any locked information on your device.
App Locking
Worried your phone might get into the wrong hands and your Remember Me is turned on? App Locking solves that problem by enabling you to require a 4-digit PIN to access the app—whether you are online or offline.
Under settings, just turn App Locking on and enter a PIN of your choosing. Penzu Mobile can then be locked from the main menu with the click of a button. Another great feature to ensure your entries are safe.
Share Via Email
You can easily share entries via email right from the pad! No taking you out of the app and into Mail. Just enter one or many (separated by commas) email addresses, and a link will be sent to the recipients.
Received shares are read-only and can't be edited unless you are the author. All your previously received entries are available to view on your mobile device.
